Mysterious death of senior officer exposes more 'contradictions' between Hu and Jiang Military officials in Beijing are scratching their heads over the real circumstances behind the death of the vice commander of the paramilitary People’s Armed Police (PAP), Lt. Gen. Liang Hong. A short dispatch by the official Xinhua News Agency on November 23 said Liang, 59, had passed away due to an unspecified illness.
