PLA daily draws on Sun Tzu for a winning war strategy using computer networks

A Chinese military newspaper last week outlined China’s strategy for conducting computer network warfare. The official Central Military Commission newspaper Jiefangjun Bao, also known as the PLA Daily, reported that computer network attacks and defense need to be integrated into high-tech warfare strategy. Noting that both attack and defense are closely linked, the report said “attack is a favorable turn of defense” and “defense is a method of attack.”        (FULL STORY)

PLA flexes its muscles over Taiwan, confronts visiting U.S. Pacific commander

Chinese generals have served more warnings on the U.S. not to interfere in Taiwan, particularly in view of Taipei’s possible anti-Chinese provocations in the run-up to crucial presidential election on March 22. The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) top brass have taken advantage of the visit of U.S. Pacific Commander Adm. Timothy Keating to raise their rhetoric over the Taiwan Strait.
