Gates, PLA general debate role of Chinese intercontinental missiles

China’s state-run media reported last week that Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates engaged in a war of words with Chinese military officials during the annual Shangri-la international conference in Singapore. Gates told a reporter: “If China's intercontinental missiles are not for attacking, I do not know what else they are for."    (FULL STORY)
