China seeks to block access to Google Earth's view of its 'geographical secrets'

China is developing a counterpart to the U.S. Google Earth online satellite imagery site. The PRC-owned news agency reported June 11 that a China Earth site is being set up by Chinese government agencies to “counter frequent threats” from Google Earth while also “communicating with Google Earth.”    (FULL STORY)
