North Korea WMD threat has drawn U.S., Japan closer on missile defense

Japan, facing an ongoing threat from North Korea, is working with the United States to develop missile defense, a State Department official told Congress last week. “North Korea's missile program is a serious concern for the United States and it's a very serious concern for Japan as well,” Alexander Arvizu, deputy assistant secretary of state for East Asia and Pacific affairs, told a Congressional panel.    (FULL STORY)
