Heads finally roll in Tibet intelligence as Beijing reacts to pre-Olympics unrest

China’s leaders have fired several intelligence officials in Tibet responsible for anti-Tibet independence operations following major demonstrations this spring in advance of the Beijing Olympics. Sources in Beijing and exiled Tibetans in India were quoted as saying that Wang Binyi, coordinator of intelligence services in Lhassa and head of the public security department in the annexed province since November 2004, was stripped of his functions.     (FULL STORY)
