Pyongyang sees Obama's victory as an opportunity to isolate Seoul
An upbeat North Korean regime, which had blasted John McCain as a "scarecrow of neoconservatives," sent a senior official to New York last week to meet President-elect Barack Obama's security adviser.
Pyongyang's official media were also swift in reporting Obama's win — just two days after the election. It is rare for the state media to so rapidly report the outcome of a U.S. presidential election.
