U.S. report: China's 'space architecture' boosting intelligence, PLA operations

China is building up its military intelligence capabilities, which will allow its forces to better target U.S. ships and other military assets, according to the congressional U.S.-China Economic Security Review Commission. The commission’s latest annual report states that China “recently has strengthened the integration of its dual-use space assets and PLA operations.” (FULL STORY)

Rising unemployment not helping as Beijing beset by daily unrest nationwide

Beijing is simultaneously using iron-fisted and conciliatory tactics to calm a horrendous wave of unrest that is hitting the prosperous eastern coast as well as the impoverished heartland.
