Beijing sees 'Anti-China containment' pattern in challenges from Japan, U.S., India
The Chinese Communist Party leadership is girding itself for what Beijing cadres call the revival of an “anti-China containment policy” being spearheaded by the United States and its Asian allies, such as Japan.
This is despite the fact that due to a marathon series of visits to Europe, Africa and Latin America by top leaders including President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao, Beijing is confident that its geopolitical clout and global influence have risen to new heights.
