Never mind world's woes and its own; China revels in 'quasi-superpower' role
While officials and analysts in many capitals are anxiously awaiting some magic formula to save the global financial tsunami, Beijing has been using the G-20 summit in London as a platform to push its “quasi-superpower” diplomacy.
Claiming to represent developing countries ranging from Russia to Brazil, Beijing is committed to licking into shape a new global financial architecture that will not be dominated by the United States.
