Former N. Korean spy who bombed airliner could shed light on Japanese abductions
SEOUL — A pardoned North Korean spy living in the South is expected visit Japan to meet the family of a Japanese woman abducted by North Korea decades ago in an effort to help solve the mystery surrounding the kidnapping, a diplomatic source said.
The former spy, Kim Hyun-Hee, was sentenced to death for her role in blowing up a South Korean airliner in 1987, which killed 115.
