North Korea consistently circumvents U.S. efforts to thwart its exports of WMD

SEOUL — North Korea uses both legal and illegal methods to evade a U.S.-led drive to stop shipments of weapons of mass destruction. South Korean and U.S. intelligence agencies believe the North exported about $800 million worth of missiles, submarines, multi-launch rockets and field artillery to Iran, Syria and Burma between 2000 and 2008, despite the U.S.-led Proliferation Security Initiative. PLA readies for action at several potential flashpoints in the South China Sea

An inconspicuous piece of news in the Liberation Army Daily last week says much about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leadership’s increasingly aggressive stance toward sovereignty disputes over dozens of islets in the South China Sea.
