Obama's China policy speech soft-pedals proliferation, human rights issues

President Obama made his first major speech on China on July 27 and made clear he will not pressure the communist government on such issues as democracy and human rights or its role in selling weapons to rogue states. Hu Jintao dusts off Maoist dictum, strengthens economy's ties to military
